My name is Ed Holt, I am a Trainee Reporter at MailOnline currently writing for the news desk covering UK and international stories.
During my time on the MailOnline Graduate Scheme I spent three months on placement at the Liverpool ECHO.
I have an MA in Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London where I was awarded a Pass with Distinction.
During my MA, I have written both news articles and features across a variety of different topics. I have experience of working on the editorial team of a news desk.
I was a Croydon correspondent as well as working on cross-borough stories for EastLondonLines. I was a junior contributor for the sustainable transport magazine: Green Mobility Magazine by Ibex Publishing where I specialised in politics. For my end of year group project at Goldsmiths I wrote for a new classical music magazine called Polyphony magazine.
For my undergraduate degree I studied History at the University of Liverpool.
My interests outside of journalism include a keen interest in keeping up to date with politics and current affairs. I also enjoy reading and cooking in my free time and I’m a big fan of Formula 1 and football.
I’m a proud Mancunian and Manchester City supporter.
